Tax Season officially starts February 12, 2021. Typically the IRS will start accepting and processing tax returns in late January. As we know, 2020 was a little bit different compared to other years. Because of this, the IRS will begin to process returns on Friday, February 12, 2021.
Why so late this year you ask? The IRS is taking time to test their systems and want to make sure there will be no delays in issuing tax returns with the law changes from the Stimulus Checks.

If you have not received your 1099 by this date contact the payer. If you do not receive your form by February 15, 2021, contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
